Mamelodi Sundowns are closing in on signing Stellenbosch FC and Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams according to iDiski Times.
The 23-year-old Adams has been a long-time target for Sundowns, particularly after 2023 AFCON
However, Stellenbosch FC issued a clear warning against pursuing him in the off-season, demanding a transfer fee exceeding R30 million.
Now with the player also showing signs that he wants to start a new life elsewhere, Stellenbosch seem to have accepted they will have to do without him now.
Sundowns have now successfully negotiated a transfer agreement with Stellenbosch FC.
The report added that discussions are currently underway to finalize personal terms between Masandawana, Adams, and his representatives, with a move to Chloorkop anticipated to materialize this month.

SUNDOWNS ACCEPT STELLIES’ BID ON LESIBA NKU
Meanwhile, Sundowns will also wave goodbye to Lesiba Nku who’s going the opposite direction but in a separate transfer.
The transfer is reportedly contingent upon the finalization of personal terms between the player and the Cape Winelands club.
Nku, a former standout at Marumo Gallants and Polokwane City, has yet to feature for Sundowns this season. 1 He has faced stiff competition for playing time within the squad, leading to this potential move.
