Mamelodi Sundowns roared back to form, defeating Sekhukhune United in a convincing Betway Premiership victory.

Masandawana entered the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Maniema and a 2-1 defeat to Magesi FC in the Carling Knockout Cup.

The Brazilians dominated the opening ten minutes, launching numerous attacks in search of an early goal.

Bathusi nearly gave Sundowns the lead in the 11th minute with a powerful shot that was well-saved by the Sekhukhune goalkeeper.

Masandawana took the lead in the 23rd minute when Tresor Tshibwabwa inadvertently deflected Aubrey Modiba's cross into his own net.

Later, Sekhukhune started to pick up as they looked to get an equaliser before the match goes to the break.
