SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has officially confirmed that Christian Saile's move from Kaizer Chiefs was a permanent transfer, putting an end to earlier speculation.
The Congolese forward joined Matsatsantsa during the January transfer window as part of a direct swap with Tashreeq Morris, who moved to Naturena.
This confirmation directly contradicts previous uncertainty expressed by former coach Gavin Hunt, who had suggested the possibility of Saile being on loan and potentially returning to Chiefs.
Matthews' statement clarifies that Saile is now a permanent member of the SuperSport United squad.

“Saile’s move was permanent, we have options to extend to 2027/28 [season],” Matthews told FARPost.
Christian Saile has scored two goals in his 12 appearances for SuperSport United across all competitions since joining the club.
The 25-year-old striker arrived in South Africa midway through the 2022/23 season, transferring from Zambian side Nchanga Rangers.
Prior to his move to Matsatsantsa, Saile had netted seven goals and provided four assists for Kaizer Chiefs.
