TS Galaxy chairman’s remarks fuel Sead Ramovic’s links with Raja Casablanca

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi recent remarks have fuelled Sead Ramovic’s links with Moroccan club Raja Casablanca.

News about Raja’s interest in Ramovic broke on Friday as Green Eagles are looking to bring in a replacement for Josef Zinnbauer who departed at the end of the season.

Sukazi acknowledged knowing about Raja's interest, stating it had been on his desk for “five to six weeks.”

He went on to say he’d be open to letting the Serbian coach go to the North African giants should they decide to appoint him.

Ramovic, a UEFA Pro Licence holder, has been with the Rockets since 2021. This is his first head coaching role after serving as an assistant coach at Novi Pazar in Serbia.

TIM SUKAZI SPEAKS OUT ON SEAD RAMOVIC’S LINKS WITH RAJA CASABLANCA

“When Sead Ramovic came to TS Galaxy it was his first head coach job, he had no record, I just brought him because I could tell he had talent, he will make a difference to our game,” Sukazi said.

“There was questions that he could be a plumber, he’s not a coach, we had two points after eight games, we were last on the log, relegation bound and I’m bringing in someone who was never been a head coach. But I said it will be a blessing to South African football and you can thank me later.

“He has made huge contributions into our project and football because he’s produced players of international standard from a crop of players who were ordinarily not international players, so it’s a no-brainer for a coach to attract interest like Sead Ramovic has done.

“He’s attracted Raja Casablanca, him and I have been on this subject for five to six weeks, we have been discussing it because we’re close. Should the situation be as such that he has to go and join Raja, then that should happen.

“I would like to believe he becomes an extension of our football you know and into the Moroccan market, nevermind our club – from where I’m sitting I’ll give it my blessing because I think he’s walked with path with us. It will be a big loss for the South African game.”
