The Premier Soccer League has seen some exciting and competitive football between January and February.
The top-three race has been thrilling as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates continue to pressure each other. Interestingly, Kaizer Chiefs were also pushing for the trophy, but in the last few matches, they have run out of gas.
At the bottom of the table, Magesi, who are last and second-last placed, Marumo Gallants hope to surge upwards before it is too late.

Coach of the Month: Cardoso beats Ouaddou and Hunt
“Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Miguel Cardoso earns the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month award after guiding Mamelodi Sundowns to four wins from four matches, inclusive of an away victory to fellow title challengers, Orlando Pirates in February,” PSL confirmed.
“Cardoso edged out strong competition from Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and Stellenbosch FC head coach Gavin Hunt, who has recently brought stability to the Western Cape side since his arrival.”
Mofokeng shines
“Pirates forward, Relebohile Mofokeng was named Betway Premiership Player of the Month following an impressive run of form,” they continued.
“After working his way back into the starting line-up, the attacker became a key figure in Pirates’ attack and ongoing title race.
“Across six matches, Mofokeng recorded three goals and as many assists, while earning three consecutive Man of the Match awards.”
The Goal of the Month Award goes to…
“The Betway Premiership Goal of the Month was awarded to Kaizer Chiefs forward, Glody Lilepo for his wonder-strike against Marumo Gallants at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein in January,” they concluded.
