Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has remained silent on the issue of Teboho Mokoena playing against Lesotho despite a yellow-card suspension.
This comes amidst a successful period for the national team, who are unbeaten in 18 matches since January 2021 and recently secured two vital victories in their World Cup qualifying campaign, placing them five points clear in Group C.
The controversy stems from Mokoena, who had received yellow cards in previous qualifiers against Benin and Zimbabwe, seemingly playing against Lesotho when he should have been serving a suspension.

BROOS ON MOKOENA’S SUSPENSION ISSUE
“You understand that I am not giving any comments on this,” he said after his side’s 2-0 win over Benin as quoted by iDiski Times.
“I hope the matter will be resolved in the coming weeks. But you will not hear anything from me, no comment.”
Bafana are at the summit of the table having collected 13 points from six matches so far.
Looking ahead, Bafana will play their remaining four World Cup qualifiers in September and October 2025, facing Lesotho and Nigeria in the former month, and Zimbabwe and Rwanda in the latter.
