Mamelodi Sundowns sporting director Flemming Berg has revealed whether the Masandawana new coach Miguel Cardoso will be on the bench in the club’s upcoming match.
The Portuguese tactician was appointed to take reins following Manqoba Mngqithi’s sacking.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Berg said Cardoso has been cleared to start working and will on the dugout in the CAF Champions League match against Raja Casablanca on Sunday at Loftus Versfeld.

“We are already clear on the work permit and permission we need. Everything in terms of legal perspective (has been sorted),” said Berg.
Cardoso met Sundowns players on Wednesday and he stated during his unveiling that his first aim would be to know and understand the players.
“We need to understand the rules of the club so that we understand the people and the expectations of the people and the identity of the club. I am entering a club with a huge identity and I will make my best not only to give happiness to the people but also represent them in the best way,” Cardoso told journalists during his unveiling.
“Yesterday, I had the privilege of an opportunity to speak with the Chairman [Tlhopie Motsepe] that values, excellence, integrity, and honesty will be a base of our work and will be in our heads in every moment,”
