Advantage Chiefs as Stellenbosch are set to miss international star amid Ndah’s availability issue

Kaizer Chiefs are desperate to get a win when they host Stellenbosch in the Premier Soccer League at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

This will be a massive game since a win will reduce the gap between them and leaders Orlando Pirates to five points, ahead of teh Soweto derby on Saturday, The Buccaneers lost their last league outing against the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1.

However, it will be a massive test for the Glamour Boys, who have lost their last two games against Stellies – both in Cup competitions. Chiefs were eliminated by Stellenbosch in both the Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup.

However, in the Premier Soccer League, Amakhosi won 2-0 when they last met.

Advantage Chiefs?

Stellenbosch will come into the match without the suspended Thabo Moloisane. The Bafana Bafana international was sent off the Nedbank Cup’s Round of 16 loss to Stellenbosch.

Furthermore, coach Gavin Hunt is still not sure whether Olisa Ndah’s work permit will be available by the time they play on Tuesday or not. The 61-year-old has also complained about the time his team has had to prepare for the match.

“Ndah, we are hoping he will be ready for us on Tuesday, let’s see,” the tactician told the media.

“We will play a game on Tuesday against Chiefs, they have played one in ten days, we have played [three] in eight days or something.

“That includes travelling, it just happens like that, and you’ve got to take it and move on,” Hunt concluded.
