  • SenegalThe 2021 champions were first to book their spot, defeating Sudan to extend their unbeaten run and reaffirm their status as one of Africa’s most consistent sides.
  • Mali – In a tense battle against Tunisia, Mali held firm despite being reduced to 10 men, eventually triumphing on penalties.
  • MoroccoThe hosts edged past Tanzania 1–0 in Rabat, thanks to Brahim Díaz’s decisive strike. The Atlas Lions now dream of ending a 50-year wait for AFCON glory.
  • CameroonThe five-time champions overcame South Africa 2–1 in a thrilling contest, showcasing their knockout pedigree yet again.
  • Egypt – The Pharoahs advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Benin in extra time in a tightly contested affair at the Stade Adrar in Agadir. 
  • Nigeria – The Super Eagles advanced into the quarterfinals in style after they thrashed Mozambique 4-0 at the Fez Stadium on Monday night.
  • Algeria – The Desert Foxes advanced to thequarter-finals for the first time since they won the title in 2019 after beating DR Congo 1-0 in extra time at the Moulay Hassan Stadium on January 6 
  • Ivory Coast – The defending champions secured their passage to the quarter-finals of the tournament following an efficient 3-0 win over Burkina Faso in the Round of 16 at Stade de Marrakech.
