The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 enters a thrilling phase as four of Africa’s football heavyweights battle for a place in the semi-finals.

Fans can look forward to two blockbuster quarter-final clashes packed with drama, history, and continental pride.

Senegal vs Mali – 18:00 CAT

Senegal take on Mali at the Grande Stade de Tanger on Friday, 9 January, with kick-off at 17:00 local time (16:00 GMT). Senegal have made Tangier their fortress, playing all four of their matches at the venue so far, while Mali have split their campaign across Casablanca and Rabat.

This is only their second AFCON meeting, the first coming in 2004 when they drew 1-1 in the group stage. Overall, this is their 41st clash, with Senegal leading the head-to-head with 19 wins to Mali’s eight. The Lions of Teranga are unbeaten in their last 13 meetings with Mali, whose last victory came in 1997. Their most recent encounter was a 2019 friendly, which Senegal won 2-1 thanks to two late goals from Sadio Mané.

With history and form on the line, expect a fierce battle for West African supremacy.

Cameroon vs Morocco – 21:00 CAT

Later in the evening, hosts Morocco face Cameroon at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat (20:00 local, 19:00 GMT). This is their first AFCON meeting in nearly 40 years and fourth overall, with Cameroon unbeaten in previous finals clashes (two wins and one draw).

Cameroon dominated early head-to-heads, going 13 games unbeaten between 1981 and 2017, but Morocco have won the last two meetings, including a 2-0 AFCON 2019 qualifier and a 4-0 victory at CHAN 2020. Against AFCON hosts, Cameroon boast six wins, five draws, and only two defeats, and are unbeaten in their last six such meetings.

This clash pits history against home advantage and promises fireworks under the Rabat lights.

Where to Watch

Both quarter-final matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport, beIN Sports, and the official CAF TV digital platforms. Fans can also stream the games via DStv Stream and CAF’s YouTube channel in select regions.
