Teenage sensation Shandre Campbell has been called up to Club Brugge's first team after impressive performances for their reserve side, Club NXT.

The 19-year-old South African, who joined the Belgian giants from SuperSport United just six months ago, has already scored six goals and provided one assist in 13 Challenger Pro League matches.

Makaab explained that while Campbell will be a permanent member of the first team, he will also continue to feature in Club NXT matches.

SHANDRE CAMPBELL TO CONTINUE FEATURING IN CLUB BRUGGE FIRST TEAM

“He will train with the first team full time, but he will also continue playing with the Club NXT,” Makaab told FARPost

“You must understand that Club Brugge and Club NXT are one and the same. They also share facilities.

“So, for the moment, he will be with the first team on a permanent basis and also still play at Club NXT.

“And the Belgian League, at any stage, they don’t have to wait for any transfer window. You can be transferred from Club NXT to Club Brugge even if it’s the last month of the season.”
