After a good exchange of passes, Pirates pressed the Milford defence and got another ball behind. Moremi was the recipient this time, the winger beating the goalkeeper, before slotting into an empty net from a tight angle.

Pirates completed the day’s task on the stroke of halftime when they overpowered the Milford defence yet again, this time on the counter attack, before Moremi got in behind and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper to fire in the third one.

The Soweto giants eased off in the second half with no further goals as coach Abdeslam Ouaddou started managing the minutes of his players ahead of the Soweto Derby on Saturday.

Pirates head into the derby in scary form as they have not conceded in their last four games across all competitions while scoring 11 goals during that period.
