Another Orlando Pirates star, Relebohile Mofokeng, is reportedly on the radar of a Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ettifaq.

This comes hot on the heels of Mohau Nkota's recent transfer to the Saudi League, signaling a growing interest from the Middle East in top South African talent.

According to an impeccable source in Saudi Arabia, negotiations between Orlando Pirates and Al-Ettifaq are currently underway.

While details remain under wraps, the fact that discussions are progressing suggests serious intent from the Saudi side to secure Mofokeng's services.

This isn't the first time Mofokeng has attracted international attention. The highly-rated youngster was previously linked with a move to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, with reports even suggesting a massive offer exceeding R100 million had been tabled.

However, the Sea Robbers swiftly moved to deny those claims at the time, indicating their desire to hold onto their prized asset.

Pirates have also reportedly rejected offers from several Israeli clubs, including Maccabi Haifa. This highlights the club's firm stance on Mofokeng's future, only considering bids that meet their valuation and vision for the player.

Mofokeng's potential move to Al-Ettifaq would mark a significant step in his burgeoning career and further solidify the trend of South African players heading to the lucrative Saudi Pro League. Fans will be eagerly awaiting further developments as this transfer saga unfolds.

The Bafana Bafana youngster had an impressive campaign locally last season. Getting recognition, he was nominated PSL Footballer of the Season, Betway Premiership Player’s Player of the Season, Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season, MTN8 Last Man Standing and Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player.
