The Premier Soccer League's second round took the center stage on Saturday with four games on the cards.

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will not be involved in the domestic assignments this weekend since they will be playing in the Caf Champions League. The Buccaneers have a date with Jwaneng Galaxy at the Orlando Stadium while Masandawana host Mbabane Swallows at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Sekhukhune United and Stellenbosch are also representing South Africa in the annual Caf Confederation Cup.

Golden Arrows 2-0 Marumo Gallants

Arrows maintained their 100% winning start to the 2024/25 season after another convincing win at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

In their first game, they defied the odds by beating Stellenbosch 2-0, and on Saturday, they won by the same margin against Marumo Gallants who had fallen 2-1 in their initial game against Kaizer Chiefs.

Edward Maova set up Knox Mutizwa for an opening goal in the 39th minute following a neatly worked move by other teammates.

The second goal was converted by Nduduzo Sibiyo a minute to the break, after a neat pass by Siyanda Mthanti. Arrows have maximum points from two matches so far while Gallants have none.

Magesi FC 0-2 Polokwane City

Newbies Magesi FC are finding life in the Premier Soccer League not as friendly as initially anticipated.

After a 1-0 loss against Sekhukhune United in their debut, Magesi were humbled 2-0 against Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Rise and Shine got their first goal in the 30th minute courtesy of Puleng Marema who converted a pass from Thabang Matuludi. Sibusiso Tshabalala then sealed the win in the 73rd minute with a fine strike.

Polokwane City have now collected six points after their 2-1 win against AmaZulu in their last fixture.

SuperSport United 0-0 Royal AM

At Tut Stadium in Pretoria, SuperSport were held to a goalless draw by Royal AM.

Having lost 2-0 against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Tshwane Derby, Gavin Hunt and his team were keen on getting a win on Saturday against a side that drew 1-1 with Cape Town City in their first game of the season.

However, spoils were eventually shared.

Chippa United 1-0 Richards Bay

At the Buffalo City Stadium, the Chilli Boys laboured to a 1-0 win over the Natal Rich Boys to get their first win of the new campaign.

Thabiso Kutumela was unfortunate to turn the ball into his own net in an effort to clear the danger from a corner ball.
