The club has a culture of letting fans come up with designs that can be used by the players in what is famously to as the Mando da Gloria contest. The contest gives the club supporters a chance to submit their designs for Coritiba’s official jersey.
This ensures there is a strong bond between the club and the fans. Usually, the winner is voted by the supporters.

Umdois Esportes has confirmed a unique outfit inspired by Bafana Bafana will be worn by Coritiba!
“Coritiba announced on Friday night the new winning shirt from the Manto da Gloria Contest. After more than six thousand votes from the fans, the model inspired by the South African National Team’s reserve shirt for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, created by fan Carlos Paiva, was chosen and will be officially launched by the club,” they reported.
“The initiative, which began over a month ago, involved 624 designs submitted by fans. The winning uniform features two shades of green, vertical stripes, and internal graphic elements inspired by symbols linked to the Coritiba identity.
“The shirt received 38.4% of the popular vote. In the final, the design competed against five other inspirations: Germany, Colombia, Spain, Jamaica, and Nigeria,” they added.

“The uniform is also predominantly green and features vertical stripes across the body, as well as tone-on-tone internal graphics inspired by the country’s cultural patterns. According to the sports supplier, the shirt incorporates details from the uniform worn by the national team at the 2010 World Cup, held in South Africa.
“The collar has a polo style, in green with white trim, the same pattern used on the cuffs. The traditional three Adidas stripes appear in gold on the sleeves,” Umdois Esportes concluded.
