Bafana Bafana predicted XI to play Panama

Bafana Bafana will take on Panama in one of their two friendly matches lined up against the North American side in Durban on Friday.

South Africa are looking to use the match to gauge themselves ahead of the 2026 World Cup and coach Hugo Broos has made it clear that he will use two sets of teams during the clash.

However, he will likely field what he will deem as his strongest XI to start and Afrik-Foot predicts how the hosts could line up at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper is the undisputed No.1 and will start in goal.

Right-back: Khuliso Mudau

Another Sundowns player, Mudau ticks all boxes and will get the nod to start.

Left-back: Aubrey Modiba

The experienced left-back is another Sundowns player in line to start as he offers so much in both defence and attack.

Centre-back: Ime Okon

With Mbekezeli Mbokazi set to miss out due to fatigue, the Hannover 98 defender could get a first start under Broos.

Centre-back: Khulumani Ndamane

The Mamelodi Sundowns star has been playing regularly for his club and could be deployed at the heart of defence now that Siyabonga Ngezana and Mbokazi are missing.

Broos has declared he will no longer play him on the wing and this is the perfect chance to test ‘Rele’ at No.1o.
