Kaizer Chiefs have all their three centre-backs available ahead of the forthcoming Premier Soccer League outing against Magesi at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
In the absence of Inacio Miguel, through an injury, the Glamour Boys partnered Zitha Kwinika and Aden McCarthy. Miguel has also been doing well alongside Kwinika early in the season.
The latter helped in keeping a clean sheet in the fixture against Durban City last weekend that the Soweto giants won by a solitary goal scored by the Democratic Republic of Congo international Glody Lilepo. McCarthy missed the game alongside Sibongiseni Mthethwa owing to suspension, but the duo is available for the weekend.
What McCarthy’s return means for Kaizer Chiefs
Former Orlando Pirates striker Phumudzo Manenzhe has advised the Amakhosi technical team on who should be considered for the game this weekend against Dikwena Tsa Meetse.

“I think we need to give credit to Kwinika and Miguel. That centre-back pairing, the leadership that they showed in the game, the way they protected Bruce Bvuma… I think he has come under a lot of pressure,” he told Extra Time as quoted by Kick Off.
“I think if you look at the amount of saves since taking over from [Brandon] Petersen, he has left the Kaizer Chiefs bench respected because he has made a lot of important saves.

“Those were game-changing saves. Now they have kept a clean sheet. So, what do you do? You’ve got two experienced guys at the back, Miguel and Kwinika, who keep a clean sheet.
“There is a young man, McCarthy, suspended. He comes back now. [Sibongiseni] ‘Ox’ Mthethwa the same – he comes back, simple. Don’t change a winning team,” Manenzhe concluded.
