BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs confirm first exit following end of 2024-25 season

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their first exit following the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Amakhosi had a difficult season under the leadership of Nasreddine Nabi, who arrived at the start of the campaign, appointed to bring back the glory days to Naturena.

In spite of that, the Tunisian tactician still managed to end the club’s ten-year trophy drought, winning the Nedbank Cup trophy after defeating Orlando Pirates in the final.

Aiming to return even more stronger next season, the Phefeni Glamour Boys have seemingly begun rebuilding their team, confirming first departure – Sabelo Radebe.

The midfielder came through the club’s youth ranks and struggled to break into the starting line-up before he was loaned to Richards Bay this recently-ended season.

Even at Richards Bay, Radebe struggled somewhat, making only three appearances across all competitions before his premature return to parent club.

CHIEFS RELEASE SABELO RADEBE

“Kaizer Chiefs have officially parted ways with attacking midfielder, Sabelo “Bibo” Radebe,” the club confirmed via a statement.

“Radebe, now 25, joined Amakhosi as a teenager and progressed through the junior ranks in the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy before moving up to the reserve team in the 2017/18 season.

“He signed after earning a spot in the senior team in the 2020/21 season, following an impressive performance in the DStv Diski Challenge.

“Last season, he had a one year loan spell at KwaZulu-Natal based, Richards Bay FC.

“We wish “Bibo” all the best in his future endeavours.”

Radebe made 18 appearances in the colours of the famous Gold and Black, providing one assist in the process.
