Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has discussed what his side has set its sights on as they are going to face off against South Sudan in the AFCON qualifiers.

The two sides will take on each other at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday, 19 November at 6 PM in what will be the last group stage match of the qualifiers.

Bafana beat Uganda 2-0 on the road on Friday to climb up to the summit of the table.

Broos has emphasised that qualifying for the AFCON is not the sole objective; South Africa aspires to finish at the top of their group.

To secure this goal, the Belgian coach has declared their intention to earn a maximum of three points against South Sudan.

BROOS WANTS BAFANA TO FINISH TOP OF THE TABLE

“We try to win every game, we don’t play to lose, we want to win every game,” he said.

“And it’s very important for South Africa, again that we win this group. We will qualify, but we wouldn’t be happy to be second in the group.

“So, that’s why today we tried to win this game against Uganda and we succeeded. This is what they call a cherry on top.

“We could have lost the game today and next Tuesday, but that’s not what we want. We want to win every game.

“It was not easy, it was a tough opponent [Uganda]. We will fight again next Tuesday to have three points again.”
