Coach Hugo Broos and the South African Football Association (SAFA) confirmed they have parted ways after working together for five years.

During his tenure at the helm of Bafana Bafana, the nation played back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). In the 2025 campaign, they finished third but were knocked out in the Round of 16 in the latest edition.

However, the greatest achievement, arguably, was to help South Africa qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they made the knockout phase for the first time in the country’s history. Have a look at what Mzansi said following the official announcement by SAFA, as compiled by Afrik-Foot.
