The Glamour Boys are set to add more quality players in their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs are set to confirm the arrival of Angola international defender Inacio Miguel in the ongoing transfer window.
The involved parties have agreed terms, and the announcement of the deal is imminent as the Soweto Giants continue rebuilding ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
However, if the deal goes through – as expected, the foreign quota at Amakhosi will be exceeded by one. So far, Amalhosi have Rwandan keeper Fiacre Ntwari, Edson Castillo from Venezuela, Botswana skipper Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Congolese Christian Saile and Mozambique international Edmilson Dove.

Who will pave the way for Miguel?
“If you are given a chance and fail to use it, then it must be a bye-bye,” the Glamour Boys legend stated as reported by Sowetan LIVE.
“Bring in foreign players who will add value. All these guys didn't perform last season. A foreign player must be extraordinary but these ones have proven to be ordinary, so any of them can go and Chiefs should not find it difficult to decide
“Any of them can go and it won't affect the team. Saile has failed as an attacker because he's scored very few goals.
“Castillo played well only in the first few games after arriving. Dove is always injured and he's error-prone just like Ditlhokwe, so I really believe they can let any of them go without really thinking twice. Let's hope Miguel is a good player because foreigners must be like ‘wow' when they come here.”

What are Chiefs targets?
Amakhosi had an inconsistent defensive unit in the 2023/24 season that saw the team concede cheap goals.
So far, they have signed Ntwari to replace Itumeleng Khune; the Rwanda international might dislodge current first choice Bruce Bvuma. Miguel is meant to compliment Given Msimango at the heart of Amakhosi defense.
Despite signing Gaston Sirino, a combative midfielder might be signed by Nabi to ensure the team dominates matches.
However, after Saile, Ashley du Preez, and Ranga Chivaviro struggle in scoring regularly, Nabi's main priority is to get an established striker who will finish the many chances created.
