Century Kings: Grobler Hits 100, Shalulile sets all-Time PSL Scoring Record

Published on by

It was a weekend of milestones in the Premier Soccer League as two of the competition’s most prolific forwards, Bradley Grobler and Peter Shalulile, each reached landmark achievements that underline their legacy in South African football.

Grobler Joins the 100 Club

Bradley Grobler scored his 100th career league goal in the PSL, netting the opener for Sekhukhune United in their 2–0 win over Durban City. The goal, assisted by Vusimuzi Mncube in the 10th minute, was Grobler’s second of the season and his first since scoring against TS Galaxy on August 13.

At 37, Grobler becomes one of the few players to reach the century mark in South Africa’s top flight. His journey spans over a decade, with key spells at Platinum Stars and SuperSport United before joining Sekhukhune, where he continues to deliver with experience and precision.

His milestone is a reflection of longevity, adaptability, and a striker’s instinct that has stood the test of time.

Shalulile Sets New All-Time Record

While Grobler reached 100, Peter Shalulile extended his lead at the top of the all-time scoring charts. The Mamelodi Sundowns forward Shalulile scored his 130th goal in official competitions for PSL clubs, the most by any player in the league’s history.

Shalulile’s latest came via a penalty in the 47th minute against Stellenbosch, his second goal of the season. The Namibian international continues to be the driving force behind Sundowns’ dominance, combining tireless movement with clinical finishing.

Since arriving from Highlands Park, Shalulile has evolved into one of the most complete forwards in the PSL—scoring with both feet, his head, and from all angles. His consistency and versatility have made him the benchmark for modern strikers in the league.
