Kaizer Chiefs conceded late on Sunday to fall 2-1 against Al Masry of Egypt at the Suez Stadium.
The Glamour Boys hopped to collected maximum points in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup to stand a chance of getting into the knockout phase. The result put the Soweto giants third in the pool.
Zamalek, who beat Zesco United by a solitary goal, will be aiming at making it two wins in a row when they make a trip to South Africa where they are scheduled to play Amakhosi at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
However, Chiefs are not keen on falling again. Co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef knows too well what the team has to do to avoid elimination.
It will be a tough game, but…
“Zamalek are one of the best teams in Africa with huge experience in continental competition,” he told the media.
“It will be a tough game, but if we want to qualify, we cannot afford any mistakes at home. We need to win our home matches and collect more points away.”
Ben Youssef further asked the supporters to turn out in large numbers and cheer the team to victory.

“We know our fans, we know the stadium, and we know it will be full. Their support means everything. I hope next weekend we’ll win and put ourselves in a better position in the group,” he concluded.
Two teams from every group will make the quarter-final of the annual competition. Zambian heavyweights Zesco United will be at home against Al Masry.
