Kaizer Chiefs have had good preparations for the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.

In coach Nasreddine Nabi's debut season, the Glamour Boys ended their decade-long trophy drought by securing the Nedbank Cup after beating traditional rivals Orlando Pirates in the final.

However, they disappointed in the PSL, where they finished ninth, just a position higher than the previous edition. The Tunisian is hoping to improve on that, as well as make a statement in the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Glamour Boys' perfect start to the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League edition was extended on Tuesday, August 19 with another huge win against Richards Bay at the FNB Stadium.

The Natal Rich Boys had lost their opening two games as opposed to Amakhosi who had managed to register maximum points from as many games despite their disappoing pre season.

In Nasreddine Nabi's absence, assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef has been in charge of the Soweto giants.

The first half between Chiefs and Richards Bay ended goalless despite the hosts' dominance and the many chnaces they created. however, it changed in the second half when Gasto Sirino connected Wandile Duba's low cross from the right.

As a result, the Glamour Boys retained their top spot with maximum points, having scored four goals so far and conceding none.

The next game for the Soweto giants will be on Wednesday, August 27 against the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium.
