Kaizer Chiefs have had good preparations for the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.
In coach Nasreddine Nabi’s debut season, the Glamour Boys ended their decade-long trophy drought by securing the Nedbank Cup after beating traditional rivals Orlando Pirates in the final.
However, they disappointed in the PSL, where they finished ninth, just a position higher than the previous edition.
The Tunisian was hoping to continue as the club’s man man, but he was dismissed just six matches into the new campaign.

The Glamour Boys played in the CAF Confederation Group D outing on Sunday, November 23 in the Suez Stadium, Egypt.
They were playing against Al Masry hoping to get maximum points in the pool which will motivate the players. Bonheur Mugisha scored from the penalty spot to give the hosts a lead in the 59th minute.
However, a good, solo run from Dillan Solomons in the 66th minute made it 1-1 and what looked like a point earned on the road. However, a blunder by Inacio Miguel in the 87th minute was enough to allow Mohamed Hashem score the winner for Al Masry.
“This was the first time that more than 80 percent of our players experienced this level of continental football. It’s very different from the PSL. Here you must be more focused, more aggressive. At this level, matches are decided by very small details. If you lose concentration for even one second, you can concede,” Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef told Amakhosi media team after the defeat.
“Looking at our performance, we deserved a minimum of a draw. But we have to learn from our mistakes. We’ll analyse the game, look at the positives and the negatives, and continue to work,” he added.
The next fixture will be against Zamalek SC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
