Kaizer Chiefs tie highly-rated youngster to long-term deal

Kaizer Chiefs have secured the future of highly-rated teenage forward Neo Bohloko, with the player signing a three-year contract extension that will keep him at Naturena until 2029.

The deal was confirmed by his representatives, Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI), marking a significant commitment from both the club and the promising young talent.

Grant Veitch, Director of African Football Recruitment at RNSI, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement.

“We are delighted to see this long-term deal finalised with Kaizer Chiefs,” Veitch stated as quoted by KickOff. “Neo is an exceptional talent whose journey through Naturena and the youth national setups has demonstrated his huge potential.”

Bohloko has been a standout performer in the Chiefs’ youth system. He made his debut for the club’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge (DDC) side at the remarkably young age of 14 in 2023. His rapid progress was further highlighted when, at 15, he was named the DDC Player of the Year and finished as the team’s top goalscorer for the 2023/24 season.

The new contract is seen as a vote of confidence in the 18-year-old’s ability to transition into the senior team environment.

Bohloko, who joined the RNSI agency in July 2025, is considered one of the brightest prospects in South African football and will be a player to watch closely in the coming seasons.
