Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa has admits it will not be easy to get back into the starting team.
The 31-year-old former Stellenbosch midfielder is yet to play a competitive game for the Soweto giants this season. His last outing was in late November last year in the CAF Confederation Cup game against Zamalek in Mzansi that ended 1-1.
With club football taking a break to pave the way for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Morocco, Mthethwa capitalised on the opportunity to have surgery that has seen him out of action for more than two months now.

During his absence, Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu have been doing well for the Glamour Boys, who are chasing the Premier Soccer League and the CAF inter-club competition.
Mthethwa happy with Kaze and Ben Youssef but concedes it is tough to get into the starting XI
In his interview with the media, Mthethwa has opened up on how it is working with co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze before explaining his situation as he works towards full fitness.
“Well, it has been good; I won’t lie. It’s been good playing under them. They have been supporting me since the first time they came to South Africa,” he stated.

“When they arrived, I didn’t get enough of a chance, but right now, I am playing well and getting enough playing time. Unfortunately, I got injured.
“But right now, I’m approaching a difficult time. I still have to prove myself again and perform well based on my previous performances,” Mthethwa concluded.
