‘Chiefs should ask Pirates to play Sundowns! We are not ready to be embarrassed again’

Kaizer Chiefs make a trip to the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League outing.

The Saturday meeting marks the third time the two teams are playing each other this season across all competitions. Masandawana have won the initial two games and will be hoping to make it three in a row.

Have a look at what the fans are saying ahead of this weekend's fixture.

I love Sundowns because they treat all teams equally

As the Buccaneers we are behind you Amakhosi. Please teach Mamelodi Sundowns some free lessons that Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are the real giants of South African football – Sibusiso Vilakazi

I love Sundowns because they treat every match or opponent equally and no one is a special case – Billy Mphahlele

A massive fixture on paper, yes, but on the field, Amakhosi know very well what will transpire – Abernathy Abzer

We need not to underestimate our opponent because of their recent poor performance. We need to take all our league games seriously because we need those three points to be in a nice position before the Caf knockout stages resume; to ease the pressure – Lesego Rampa

I seriously see a very ugly scoreline at the end of the game. This fixture has the potential of giving us more than four goals – Mahlatse Witman Noko

Chiefs will beat Sundowns 2-1

I hope Nasreddine Nabi's charges are ready for the game, as Chiefs can't afford to lose to Mamelodi Sundowns. We should teach them a football lesson! – Vincent Kubelo

That Patrice Motsepe team is nothing to Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi have a big history that came even before Motsepe bought the team. Chiefs will win 2-1 – Matthew Samuel Lemena

It is so easy to beat Sundowns; just score five goals and win the game because they are only good at scoring four – Nhlakanipho Godfrey

This is one football match where we have nothing to lose but everything to gain. If we lose, it will be our neighbours' loss. So the boys must just express themselves – Kenny Nkgwase Mashegoana

With due respect to Sundown FC, we humbly request our arch-rivals Orlando Pirates to play that game on our behalf. As Chiefs supporters, we are not ready again to be embarrassed by Sundown FC – John Bull
