Chiefs & Sundowns return to winning ways in DDC

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns returned to winning ways in the DStv Diski Challenge, rebounding from previous setbacks.

Chiefs secured a narrow 1-0 win over Magesi FC, extending their winning streak to four out of five matches.

They came to this match having lost 1-0 to SuperSport United last week. Amakhosi are now back on top of the table with 12 points after five games.

Sundowns also bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Polokwane City. They came to this clash having lost back-to-back to Stellenbosch FC and Magesi FC.

This win lifted them to fourth place in the standings, while Polokwane remained in 13th.

Sekhukhune United secured a crucial 4-2 win over SuperSport United, ending a two-match losing streak. 

The reigning champions, Stellenbosch, continued their strong form with a 4-1 victory over Chippa United. They now sit in third place,just two points behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
