Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has struggled to reclaim his position at the club owing to the form of Brandon Petersen and partly owing to his initial struggles.
The Rwanda international got a chance to prove his quality in the Carling Knockout's Round of 16 against Stellenbosch, a game that went all the way to the penalties, and the Glamour Boys lost in the shootout.
It was the first game the former TS Galaxy goalkeeper had played for the Soweto giants after months of being frozen. Amavubi coach Adel Amrouche is convinced the 26-year-old has what it takes to help Chiefs deliver.

He argues Ntwari is among the best in Africa, insisting the Soweto giants shouldn't bench him.
I have given Ntwari all the confidence
“I had a good discussion with Ilyes [Mzoughi], the [goalkeeper's] coach of Kaizer Chiefs. I cannot interfere in the work of the coaches, but it was just communication to see how we can keep Fiacre in good shape and also at that level of competition,” Amrouche opened up to the media.
“It’s not easy, and I am happy to have that collaboration with the coaches everywhere, especially with the coaches for Kaizer Chiefs. Fiacre is one of the best goalkeepers in Africa, a very talented goalkeeper, a very disciplined player and very positive.

“I’ve never heard anything negative about his club from him. He loves his club. He has very good contact with his team, and also, his teammates love him. I’m happy he found me in the team because I gave him all that confidence, and the team gave him all that confidence to be number one in the team.
“But I think if you don’t let him play, let him go because it’s better not to stop the quality for one person like Fiacre,” he concluded.
