Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have made some impressive signings in the ongoing transfer window in their bid to deliver after a decade-long struggle.
The management brought in 10 new players to boost the team and ensure they have a chance of competing for the top positions, silverware, and deliver in the CAF Confederation Cup as well. Last season, Amakhosi won the Nedbank Cup, their first major title in 10 years, but again, they finished outside the top eight for the second consecutive year.

One of the players who has been signed by the club is midfielder Lebohang Maboe, who graduated from Amakhosi. The former Mamelodi Sundowns player is happy to have returned home, promising to deliver.
I'm back home!
“I wanted to be back home; I wanted to one day play for Kaizer Chiefs, senior team that is, because I felt like, in how I also left, I felt like I had somewhat unfinished business with the team and being back home right now is such a great feeling,” he told the media.
“I think, to be quite frank and straightforward to you, I don't think how I left matters, but it's like I'm back home right now, and I mean this with all due respect, respectfully so.”
Maboe explained what delayed the signing, “Once I knew that I wasn't going to go back to Sundowns… that's when I knew, and that's when the talks started, but it was just unfortunate because I had shoulder surgery that I had to undergo.

“But I thank the team, they've been so patient with me and now just being back home, all I'm looking to do is to repay the faith that they've shown in me and just continue to work hard,” he concluded.
Maboe might make his debut on Tuesday, September 16, when Chiefs play Sekhukhune United in the Premier Soccer League outing.
