The outspoken Morgan Mammila is back in the spotlight, and he’s not holding back. The administrator-turned-coach, now at the helm of Chippa United as an interim mentor, has fired a warning shot ahead of his team's showdown with Orlando Pirates.
Despite a recent 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay FC in his first game back on the bench, Mammila is brimming with confidence.
He boldly declared that his team has what it takes to beat anyone in the league, framing the upcoming match against the Buccaneers as a simple “11 vs 11” affair.
Mammila's appointment follows the swift dismissal of Sinethemba Badela, who was in charge for only two games. Now, with the pressure on, Mammila will lead the Chilli Boys against a formidable opponent this Sunday, August 31st, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at 3 p.m. His defiant stance adds an extra layer of intrigue to what's sure to be a thrilling encounter.

‘OUR PLAYERS CAN BEAT ANYTIME’
“There’s a big one coming up this weekend, we are in the same league, 11 v 11,” said Mammila following their 1-0 defeat to Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday.
“Of course , there’s experience here and there but we also have capable players who can beat any team.
“I’m not worried about the opponents, I’m worried about my team. They must just apply themselves the way we train.”
The pressure is mounting for Chippa United. They're still chasing their first league win, with a record of one draw and three losses placing them at the bottom of the standings with just one point.
Their challenge this weekend is Orlando Pirates, a team on the rise. The Sea Robbersare in ninth place with six points and are looking for their third consecutive league victory, following recent wins against Stellenbosch FC and Orbit College. It’s a classic battle of a struggling team desperate for a win against a confident, in-form opponent.
