On Friday, Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the exit of versatile Botswana international defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe to Libyan club Al-Ittihad.
The 26-year-old has been serving Amakhosi since the 2023/24 season when he joined from SuperSport United as a free agent. The North African outfit paid a reported R16 million for his services.
Have a look at what the Glamour Boys fans said after the exit of Ditlhokwe just when he was starting to shine for the club.
‘Ngezana has left a big gap in defense’

The irony of life is that we often don't appreciate what we have until it's gone. For those who bullied him calling him names like ‘cow', his absence has brought a harsh realization -you miss him. The laughter, the memories, and the presence they once took for granted are now a distant memory. His departure has left a void, and they're left to ponder the consequences of their actions. As the saying goes, ‘You don't know what you've got until it's gone.' This poignant lesson serves as a reminder to cherish and appreciate those around us, for we never know when they'll be gone, leaving us with only memories and regrets let's support our players, Khosi nation, and stop bullying them – Tyquian Scott
This is a team that doesn't stand in players' way to growth, despite how desperate we are, you still allow players to go! Big up Khosi, forward we go Backward never – Sbusiso Ndlovu
We are in a rebuilding mode, and then you release, so far, your most consistent defender? – Mzamo Mr-Que Qangule
Kaizer Chiefs never denied players a move no matter the situation. We allowed Siyabonga Ngezana to move overseas and now he is playing Uefa League against the likes of Manchester United
Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is leaving in the same manner Ngezana left, exactly when we were beginning to enjoy and benefit from their contributions. He is definitely leaving a huge gap on the left side of the pitch, congratulations to him on his future endeavors – Ronald Mashakeng
‘Stan Matthews has lost’

Thank you TT, Thank you Kaizer Motaung Jr., you got him for free, but you have R16 m to buy a natural left-back that will suit Nasreddine Nabi's system.TT go represent us, very disciplined, working hard instead of complaining to the media. Batswana are proud of you, Amakhosi are proud of you, and Stan Matthews has lost. I remember when he talked ill about you being benched at Kaizer Chiefs because he never benefited from you – Mangaliso Senzo
Just when we thought Nabi got his back four correct!. Otherwise, best of luck with his new chapter. This is the right time for Happy Mashiane to raise his hands – Phineus Motlatso Mohlabeng
Chiefs are cursed! When he was starting to show value and making us solid, he was gone! All the best TT, we can't stand against your future, go and earn even more. You worked diligently and it was not all sweet at times but you remained focused and resilient. This move is genuinely your love for the game – Simo Anele Mthana
Kaizer Chiefs are the best team; they won't stay in players' way. They always look out for their players, it's just the players themselves who betray Kaizer Chiefs – Lukas Magomo
He gave his all in defence and has been showing significant improvement recently, solidifying his place in the starting lineup. His absence will certainly be felt – Thulaganyo Tom Mogale
