Kaizer Chiefs versatile attacker Ashley du Preez is delighted to be working with Orlando Pirates tactician Jose Riveiro, once again.

The duo made last season's Carling Knockout All-Stars team that played Stellenbosch in the Black Label Cup. For the second year running, Riveiro and Du Preez have once again been voted by the fans into the All-Stars team.

The selected players will play against Carling Knockout champions Magesi FC who shocked many by beating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the final.

Ahead of the game that will be played at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, the 27-year-old has explained how it feels like to work with the Buccaneers coach.

Riveiro understands the players

It's our second time with the coach [Jose Riveiro], he’s very good and he understands the players very well, so it will be a nice game on the weekend,” the Glamour Boys striker said in the pre-match interview.

“His consistency and how he’s been as a coach [makes him successful]. The first time I got the opportunity to work with him, he was very positive. I think for me as a player, coach Riveiro has been a great coach and he’s been doing well at the club.

“With his experience and all the players going into this weekend’s game, he’s doing a great job,” Du Preez concluded.

Riveiro has started the season with Orlando Pirates quite well. Bucs are three points behind Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League having played a game less, and are also in the Caf Champions League's group stage. A couple of months ago, they became the first team to win MTN8 three times in a row.

Du Preez's Chiefs have not had a good start; they fell in the Carling Knockout quarters and have won three PSL games, drawn as many, and lost three as well in the ongoing campaign.
