Bafana Bafana attacker Elias Mokwana has once again reiterated his desire to play for Kaizer Chiefs in the future.

The former Sekhukhune United winger was in fine form in the 2023/24 season for both the club and country. Before leaving for Tunisian heavyweights Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Mokwana had played 35 games for Babina Noko in the previous campaign, scoring five goals and providing as many assists across all competitions.

The Glamour Boys, who were in the process of re-building, felt the 25-year-old would bring much needed quality in the attacking department. However, the Glamour Boys management were sluggish in concluding the deal, and the player made a move to North Africa.

Despite failing to get his wish of turning out for the Soweto giants, Mokwana still hopes that he will wear black and gold sooner or later, “Eish, this one’s going to put me in trouble,” he opened up to iDiski Times.

“To tell you the truth, my father was an Orlando Pirates fan and I was a Chiefs fan, now you can see. When they said Chiefs wanted me, I was happy. Unfortunately, it never happened, but the dream is still there. In the future, I might go,” he concluded.
