Banyana Banyana narrowly lost 2-1 to England in an international friendly held in Coventry on Tuesday.
Despite coming off a heavy 5-0 defeat to Denmark just four days earlier, Banyana elevated their performance to match their status as African champions and were unfortunate to lose to the English side.
Goals from captain Leah Williamson and Grace Clinton secured the win for the Lionesses, while Thembi Kgatlana scored for Banyana.
These friendly matches against Denmark and England are part of the team's preparations for the WAFCON 2025 qualifiers.
