European club interested in Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau

A European club has entered the list of teams interested in acquiring the services of Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau, who is reportedly no longer wanted at Al Ahly.

The reports have been all over that Ahly coach Marcel Koller had a fall-out with the left-footer ahead of the end of the last season in Egypt.

The Swiss tactician was said to have indicated to The Club of the Century that he didn’t want the 30-year-old winger in his team for this season.

As per the Egyptian website KingFut, Tau, who has one year left on his contract, is unwilling to depart by mutual agreement this summer without receiving the remainder of his salaries from the Red Devils.

WHICH EUROPEAN CLUB WANTS PERCY TAU?

As reported by Al-Masry Al-Youm, Tau has attracted the interest of Sivasspor, a club competing in the Turkish Super Lig.

The transfer window in Turkey is set to close on Saturday, 13 September, providing a three-day window for Sivasspor to secure the signing of the former Brighton and Hove Albion man, should they choose to acquire him directly from Ahly rather than waiting for him to become a free agent.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian window shuts down on 30 September. He has more than two weeks to get what he desires and walk out of the North African side and potentially depart from the North African club as a free agent.

Tau has been linked with a handful of clubs already with Kaizer Chiefs, Wydad Casablanca (Morocco club) and NEOM SC (Saudi Arabian second tier side).

Despite initial interest, NEOM reportedly pulled out after making efforts that included a visit to Egypt to entice the player

Additionally, Tau has denied claims of being in discussions with Wydad and Kaizer Chiefs during a recent interview with Metro FM
