Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Sergio Dos Santos has spoken about why Bruce Bvuma must be given a chance as a number one.
Brandon Peterson seems to have seized the gloves from Fiacre Ntwari who arrived at the club and became a regular.
Meanwhile, Bvuma is now serving as an understudy to the former Bidvest Wits shot-stopper.
He has not played any official match this season, featuring only in the friendly matches including the CUFA Cup against Marumo Gallants.
Dos Santos expressed his belief that neither Ntwari nor Peterson has performed convincingly when given the chance to start. He suggested that Bvuma could potentially offer a better performance if given the opportunity.
‘BVUMA SHOULD BE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY’
“Sjoe…, who is Kaizer Chiefs' best goalkeeper at the moment? That's a very big question,” Dos Santos.
“Because, at the moment, certainly the Rwandan international has not produced the goods that we expected from him. He is certainly not the goalkeeper we thought he was gonna be, and now Brandon has come in, and he is just not the goalkeeper that we thought he was gonna be either.
“I mean, I know Brandon from Ajax Cape Town. He was a very good goalkeeper coming through the ranks at Ajax and did a fantastic job in the first team. But right now, he is all over the place.
“Buma, we haven't seen him for a while now, but after what happened in the last two years at Chiefs, Buma should be given another opportunity to claim his place, I think.
“Brandon is not doing it, and the other one is not doing it, so you must as well give Buma a chance to come back:”
