FIFA confirms discounted 2026 World Cup Tickets for Bafana Bafana fans

Published on by

South African supporters will have the chance to follow Bafana Bafana at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ thanks to a new affordable ticketing option introduced by FIFA.

With global demand already surpassing 20 million ticket requests in the current sales phase, FIFA has confirmed that fans of qualified national teams, including Bafana Bafana, will benefit from a dedicated Supporter Entry Tier.

These tickets will be priced at a fixed rate of R1005.95 (USD 60) for each of the 104 matches, including the final, making it easier for loyal fans to back their team on football’s biggest stage.

The allocation of these tickets will be managed by each Participating Member Association (PMA), meaning the South African Football Association (SAFA) will oversee the selection and distribution process for Bafana fans. SAFA will set eligibility criteria to ensure the tickets go to supporters closely connected to the national team.

In total, half of each PMA’s allocation will fall within the most affordable categories, 40% in the Supporter Value Tier and 10% in the Supporter Entry Tier. The rest will be split evenly between the Standard and Premier tiers.

FIFA has also confirmed that fans applying through their PMA allocation whose teams fail to reach the knockout stage will have administrative fees waived when refunds are processed.

The announcement comes amid unprecedented interest in the 2026 tournament, which will be staged across Canada, Mexico, and the United States from 11 June to 19 July 2026. The current Random Selection Draw ticketing phase remains open until 13 January 2026, with fans able to apply via FIFA.com/tickets.

For Bafana Bafana supporters, this initiative offers a more affordable way to be part of history as the team prepares to represent South Africa on the global stage once again.

How Bafana Bafana qualified?

Bafana Bafana secured their place at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ after a decisive 3–0 victory over Rwanda in Mbombela, sealing automatic qualification and ending a 15-year absence from the global stage.

They were later drawn into Group A, where they will face hosts Mexico in the tournament’s opening match, alongside South Korea and the winner of a UEFA play-off (between Denmark, North Macedonia, Czech Republic, and Ireland)
