The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola in South Africa will touch down in Johannesburg on 30 and 31 January, before heading to Cape Town on 1 February, offering fans the chance to experience football’s ultimate symbol of glory up close.
This marks the Trophy Tour’s first return to South Africa since 2018 and its second stop on the African continent after Egypt.
“We’re thrilled to bring South African fans closer to the magic of the FIFA World Cup™,” said Mickael Vinet, Vice President of Global Assets, Influencers and Partnerships at The Coca-Cola Company. “This tour is all about celebrating the passion, excitement, and anticipation that football inspires—starting with the original FIFA World Cup Trophy right here in South Africa.”
The upcoming FIFA World Cup 26™ promises to be the biggest yet, hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, featuring more teams, more matches, and more unforgettable moments. As part of its global journey, the Trophy Tour will visit 30 FIFA Member Associations, making 75 stops over 150 days, giving fans worldwide the chance to see the real FIFA World Cup Trophy.
“The FIFA World Cup Trophy is the ultimate symbol in sport, and Coca-Cola is one of the most iconic brands globally,” said Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer. “For 20 years, our partnership has brought fans closer to the magic of the World Cup through this Trophy Tour. This edition is extra special as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the tour and prepare for the biggest World Cup in history.”
Beyond football, the Trophy Tour also champions positive impact in local communities. Coca-Cola will collaborate with local partners to support sustainability initiatives, including packaging collection and recycling efforts.
As FIFA’s longstanding partner since 1976 and official World Cup sponsor since 1978, Coca-Cola holds exclusive rights to the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour, giving thousands of fans worldwide the chance to witness the most iconic trophy in sport.
