Kaizer Chiefs finally confirmed the exit of the versatile Democratic Republic of Congo attacker Glody Lilepo, who had served the Soweto giants for two years.
The towering winger made 56 appearances for Amakhosi across all competitions, with a return of 15 goals and four assists before reportedly forcing his way out. He was not part of the Amakhosi squad that was abroad for pre-season.
Libyan outfit Al-Ahly Benghazi have since snapped him as they continue preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. Have a look at what Amakhosi faithful feel, as compiled by Afrik-Foot.
I’m not complaining at all!

I appreciate everything Lilepo did for the team, but I’m honestly glad he’s gone. If he had a higher football IQ, he could’ve become one of the best players in the league – Nkanyiso
I’m not complaining at all. I couldn’t stand that thing of his of always choosing to shoot when there’s a better-positioned teammate to pass to. Good luck to him – Msunu
I’ll never recover from this. Glody Lilepo was outstanding for us – Ovo Ghostt
Thank you for the memories; you arrived, gave everything for the badge and helped bring silverware back to Naturena. Wishing you nothing but success in Libya – Chiefs Central
I am so sad he left; what a good player. Good luck, Lollipop. Thank you for the memories – Mshengu Tshabalala
Letting Msimango go, a mistake?

We Wish Him Well. I hope I’m not the only one who can see that our CB position is bleeding because we lost Given Msimango – Tshepi
I hope he signs a clause which allows him to come back home if he is ill-treated there – Jose Matsoso
Farewell to umjita; a very good player but also very frustrating because we always demanded more from him based on his talent, but all the best to him – Thabz
Know what? This sale proves to me that Motaung Jr. is much more mature than I am. I hate tantrums laced in disrespect. For that reason, I would have made Lilepo train with the under 19’s for 3 months and sell him in December. Just to teach him a lesson to never disrespect us – Motlatjo Rakgotho
One foreign spot open, please get us a lethal striker to replace Lilepo – Tlharan Tlhope
