Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly signed full-back Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane less than a week after being released by Orlando Pirates.
Chiefs have been looking to strengthen at both left-back and right-back and according to FARPost, they have opted to go for the two free agents who were not handed new contracts at Pirates when their deals expired.
Mako is set to add competition at left-back while Monyane will do the same at right-back which is not good news for a number of players at Chiefs.

Edmilson Dove is one of the players whose future is uncertain as he is coming to the end of his contract this month and with a new signing at left-back, he might be deemed surplus to requirements.
Who else has his future not assured?
Meanwhile, Dillan Solomons and Reeve Frosler who have been competing at right-back will have to contend with Monyane and it is not known if Chiefs are willing to keep all three.
The two right-backs did not cover themselves in glory last season but Nabi had to rely on them with midfielder Njabulo forced to play there in certain matches.

Frosler has one year remaining on his contract having joined Chiefs in 2022 and could find himself looking for a new club as his game time will greatly reduce given Solomons was ahead of him in the pecking order.
Meanwhile, Mako and Monyane are reported to have secured themselves a soft landing at Chiefs after being released by Pirates after they had seen their game time limited under former coach Jose Riveiro.
