Hlompo Kekana offers crucial advice to Chiefs & co. on Mbule pursuit

Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompo Kekana has given Kaizer Chiefs and other clubs advice on Sipho Mbule pursuit.

Mbule was recently released by Masandawana, ending a three-year stint with Tshwane giants having joined them in 2022 from SuperSport United.

However, he struggled to live up to expectations and lacked some game time before he was sent out on loan in the recently-ended season.

Mbule has also had an issue with behaviour with a lot of incidents resulting in him being suspended by the clubs he has played for.

The 27-year-old was on loan at Sekhukhune United and parted ways with parent club upon his return at the end of the season.

For clubs like Chiefs, who have previously expressed a keen interest in acquiring the talented midfielder Sipho Mbule, Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana has now offered his valuable insights and a word of caution. Kekana's primary piece of advice for potential suitors is that they must be “brave” in their approach.

He acknowledges openly that bringing a player of Mbule's profile on board carries inherent risks, given his past challenges. Kekana suggests that any club looking to sign Mbule must be fully prepared to navigate these complexities

Beyond the footballing aspect, Kekana highlighted that Mbule is an individual who genuinely needs assistance with his off-the-field life.

HLOMPO KEKANA ON SIPHO MBULE – ‘HE NEEDS SOME HELP’

“You have got to be very brave to sign Sipho now,” Kekana said on SABC Sport's Soccer Zone.

“But with the talent alone, you are guaranteed that you are going to enjoy, you are going to win football matches because he is talented like that.

“Outside football, as the coach, he is going to need some help.”
