The attacker was part of the Bidvest Wits that won the league and the Swanky Boys hope he can inspire his teammates.

SuperSport United have confirmed the signing of experienced attacker Vincent Pule as they continue bolstering their squad ahead of the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season.

The 32-year-old was among the seven players who were deemed surplus to requirements by Orlando Pirates which ended with coach Jose Riveiro giving a greenlight for their release. In the concluded campaign, the midfielder played 11 matches across all competitions for Bucs owing to injuries.

After terminating his contract, several teams were rumoured to be salivating for Pule, but it is Matsatsantsa who have benefitted with the services of the winger.

He is a Spartan! Pule lands a new team

“SuperSport United FC is pleased to announce the signature of winger Vincent Pule on a one-year deal with an option to renew,” the Swanky Boys confirmed on Friday evening.

Pule will be reunited with coach Gavin Hunt who coached him at a now-defunct Bidvest Wits. The duo played a crucial role in helping the team win the Premier Soccer League title and the then Telkom Knockout.

The midfielder lasted six years at the Sea Robbers scoring 24 goals and providing 14 assists in the 146 games he featured in all competitions.

Hunt has now signed Pogiso Sanoka, Nyiko Mobbie, Ricardo Goss, Vincent Pule, and most recently Pule.

All the new signings will have an opportunity to show their worth in the pre-season tournament to be played in Botswana.

With the quality signings on board, Hunt will be aiming at pushing for the top positions next season. Winning the league might be a tall order, but surely, the team can challenge for the MTN8, Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup.
