Kaizer Chiefs defeat sacks PSL coach

Siwelele FC has dismissed head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and his assistant, Willem Jackson, following a string of poor results at the start of the 2026/27 season.

The club announced the decision on Monday morning, confirming that both Seema and Jackson had been relieved of their duties.

The move came less than 24 hours after the team’s 3-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.

In an immediate reshuffle of the technical team, Siwelele has appointed Godfrey Mosoetsa as the interim head coach.

Siwelele announce Seema’s sacking

A club statement explained that the decision was made as part of a broader review of the team’s performance and overall technical strategy.

“This has been a challenging period for the club, and our supporters deserve better than what they have seen so far this season,” the statement read. “Our belief in this team, in our players and in what we are building at Siwelele remains unchanged.”

The club has assured stakeholders that a further announcement regarding its long-term coaching plans for the remainder of the season will be made once the review is complete.

Siwelele also urged its players and fans to stand together as the club aims to reverse its fortunes.

“Our season is still young. We will face the challenge in front of us together, as one team and one family,” the statement concluded.

Siwelele are yet to win any of their five league games, having drawn two and lost three, leaving them in 14th place on the table with a couple of points.
