‘Football left Chiefs, but interpreters were better than clueless Da Cruz!’ Fury as Amakhosi falter

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs failed to collect a win for the third time in a row in the Premier Soccer League as they were held to a 1-1 draw at the FNB Stadium by Stellenbosch on Tuesday night.

This was not an anticipated result by the club’s supporters who believe their team have the potential to challenge Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns for the league title.

Currently, the Glamour Boys are fourth on the table with 14 points, nine less than leaders Masandawana. The defending champions Bucs are second with 22 points.

When is the next international break?

A section of the club supporters have given up hope of seeing their team competing for the crown in Mzansi. Some feel Amakhosi are currently a mid-table team.

The sooner we accept that Kaizer Chiefs are a mid table club the better. After a three-week break Fernando Da Cruz has just shown us he is a clueless coach! Another trophyless season.- NGM

Mind you this is the same team that think they are on the same level as Orlando Pirates – Bernecia

It is about time one just accepted that football has really left my Chiefs. Just history, nice village and ambition to fight for the top eight every season, and it is painful to watch. By the way, when is the next international break? I can’t wait, this hurts – Khani

I think we have to accept our fate. I haven’t seen a team win a game with 7 defensive players. Our coach is clueless but why should we blame him? The business model of Kaizer Chiefs is delivering dividends to the shareholders while making supporters a laughing stock – Vutomi

Gift of the givers football club doing what they do best! Playing rubbish and giving away silly goals with 8 defensive players in the field! Let’s face facts! This team is a joke, 90% of players are weak and overrated, coach is a scam – Hekele Heke

Do we have a coach in Da Cruz?

There have been questions raised about the ability of coach Fernando Da Cruz to help Amakhosi to deliver.

You guys are really disrespecting us. Does Cruz even submit match reports?  Is he even aware that he has never had a consistent starting 11 since the season started?  He changes formation every game and converts players every game. How are we going to win like that? – The Musician

The two interpreters were better than this clueless, ultra defensive plumber. The less said about soccerpreneurs we call management the better. Kaizer Chiefs are dead. This is a mid table team. Hope sponsors leave – Themba Mhlophe

Some fans will still insult Kaizer Chiefs management. Instead of attributing losing  points to Da Cruz defensive tactics against small teams and Petersen – Joy Lethabo

What kind of formation, football, tactics, team management and coaches was that? – Ramirez Captain

Do we have a coach in Da cruz? How do you convert Reeve Frostler and Paseka Mako to play midfield when you have natural midfielders? What are you saying about them? How do you start a match with seven defenders and still claim that you want to win? You can’t expect to dominate a game when your tactics are built around fear instead of ambition. Winning requires courage, attacking intent, and the willingness to take risks, not just defending for 90 minutes – Same Smile Different Days
