Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly opened talks with MC Alger boss Rulani Mokwena over the possibility of taking over at the end of the season.
Chiefs will be on the look out for a new coach at the end of the season as co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze were handed the responsibility until the end of the current campaign.
Ben Youssef and Kaze were elevated into a co-coaching capacity following the departure of their boss Nasreddine Nabi last September but they have not covered themselves in glory yet after managing four wins in 14 games.

That has seen fans call for a coaching change with a demand for an experienced and successful tactician who knows South African football well.
Have Chiefs contacted Mokwena?
According to SoccerBeat, the man being eyed by Amakhosi is Mokwena, the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns coach, who is currently leading Algeria giants MC Alger.
“I know Chiefs and I strongly believe that they are speaking to Rulani,” said SoccerBeat’s Per Du Toit. “There is a strong connection there and he would do that role.”
“But obviously slightly hampered because he is at another club right now and no one will openly say that he is coming to Chiefs or that he is telling them whom to buy,” he added.
Chiefs have reportedly opted against January signings because they do not want to splash the cash on players who the new coach might not fancy and have decided to wait until whoever they hire arrives and submits his wish list.
