Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley is set to finish one year before playing a game following an injury setback in March 2025.

Dortley, who had become a key cog in the Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defence, suffered a knee injury against Mamelodi Sundowns that needed surgery and it was reported that he would be back by July just ahead of the new season.

However, he suffered another setback in his recovery and his return was pushed to January, something that has not happened, and with March ending, it is uncertain if he will play again this season, even if he has since returned to training.

Kaizer Chiefs could have an easy time securing one of their coaching targets after former TS Galaxy boss Sead Ramovic was suspended by Algerian club CR Belouizdad.

As per KickOff, Ramovic, who has been reported to be on Chiefs’ radar, is reportedly set to be sacked after he was suspended by the Ligue 1 club over poor performance in the league that has left Belouizdad seventh on the standings even though he guided them to the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.
