Kaze on ‘unfortunate’ Lilepo red card
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has warned his players against carelessness that leaves the team in a spot of bother following Glody Lilepo’s red card against AmaZulu FC on Saturday.
Lilepo scored in the 68th minute but took off his shirt to celebrate with fans at Moses Mabhida Stadium, just minutes after he had received a yellow card and he was given his marching orders as his team played with 10 men for the rest of the game although they managed to hold onto their lead.
“We need to be careful because he was already booked and he takes his shirt off as he celebrates,” Kaze told SuperSport TV.
“Which means that we’re going to miss him in the last game. It’s an unfortunate situation. Sometimes you also understand the player, the passion and relief for scoring but it’s good that we have three points. But in future we need to be careful about things like that.”

AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane has showered praise on his ex-club Kaizer Chiefs, calling them a tough team to play against given they were coming into the game without pressure, having sealed CAF Confederation Cup qualification.
“A difficult team as a I said, they came into this game having nothing to lose and now it’s always going to be difficult to play against this team that’s got nothing to gain or lose because they’ve already secured the spot in the Confederation Cup. But I’ll always give credit to the players, they gave their all but it wasn’t to be,” he said as per KickOff.
Mako’s impact at Naturena questioned

Former Kaizer Chiefs right-back Isaac Mabotsa has questioned the impact of left-back Paseka Mako to the club since joining as a free agent ahead of the start of this season.
Mako has struggled to nail down a starting place in the team, making just 11 league appearances at Chiefs while injuries have also kept him out and Mabotsa thinks the Glamour Boys are not getting value for money.
“If you remember well, at the beginning of the season he was the first option at the left-back position, and the way things are right now I don’t think he impressed the technical team, seems Bradley Cross is being preferred now,” Mabotsa told KickOff.
“So, I don’t think Mako has done enough to be even in the first eleven. Now it’s up to the technical team whether they keep him or not, because he was brought to Kaizer Chiefs for his experience, but for me, so far, he has not done enough because he is not playing.”
