Kaizer Chiefs boost in race for Ivorian

Golden Arrows have rejected offers from Charleroi of the Belgian top-flight and Esperance Sportive de Tunis for teenage sensation Isaac Cisse, while the likes of Al Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs and Club Brugge are all said to be monitoring the industrious midfielder, according to iDiski Times.

The Ivorian has been one of the standout performers for Arrows this campaign, with his energy, vision and box-to-box ability catching the eye of scouts from across Africa and Europe.

Chiefs are believed to see Cisse as a midfield reinforcement that could add dynamism to their engine room, while Al Ahly view him as a profile capable of adding a new dimension to their midfield with Aliou Dieng set to end his stay come end of the season.

The new deal represents a significant show of faith from Amakhosi who have relied on McCarthy to fill a key role in the backline during a demanding season for the club.

iDiski Times reports that his initial deal was due to expire at the end of the current season but with interest rising in his services abroad – talks over his future may still be on during the upcoming off-season.

Meanwhile, Mbhalati later confirmed the deal, stating on his official Facebook account, “Today is the day that the Lord has made.
