Baartman adamant Chiefs determined to get points vs Chippa
Kaizer Chiefs utility player Luke Baartman has shared his thoughts on facing relegation-threatened Chippa United this weekend.
Amakhosi have already secured the number three spot in the standings, guaranteeing themselves CAF Confederation Cup qualification for next season.
However, the Chilli Boys are sitting in 13th place and need to secure at least a draw or a victory. If they fail to do so, they will be left hoping that relegation rivals Marumo Gallants and Orbit College drop crucial points in their respective fixtures.
“Like you all know, Chippa is in a dangerous position, they’re going to come with everything they have,” Baartman said in a presser.

“And for us, we secured third place. But for us, it’s also to go out and get the three points on Saturday. Nothing different. We’re just doing like how we’re going to approach the game.
“It’s up to them how they’re going to come. We don’t know how they’re going to come, really. But we will do our best to get the three points.”
Chiefs set to decide futures of loaned players
With the current season coming to an end, Kaizer Chiefs are set to make a few calls on some of their players’ futures, especially those who were sent out on loan with the view of them getting regular game-time elsewhere.
“At the moment the recruitment department is said to be the ones assessing the performances of all players who were out on loan. After looking at all their performances, it’s when they are expected to decide on the players’ futures. No one has been told of their future yet,” Soccer Laduma reported.
“They won’t wait for whoever is going to be the head coach before deciding whether to extend their loans, keep them, sell them or even release some of them. Those from the DDC who were loaned out will also be assessed before the next decision is taken by the club.

“Some of the players who were on loan are Samkelo Zwane and Happy Mashiane , who were at Siwelele FC. Bontle Molefe and Nkosana Mbuthu at Motsepe Foundation Championship side Leicesterford City FC, while Casric Stars had Manqoba Ozoemena and Ofentse Kgosana. Another Motsepe Foundation Championship side and league winners, Kruger United, had Vicky Mkhawana and defender Sifiso Timba at Gomora United. Two others were playing in Botswana with Xolani Cossa at Black Lions and Bobo Sima at Mochudi Centre Chiefs,” they concluded.
Chiefs need Mosimane
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Dennis Vukubi has urged Amakhosi to ‘go and get’ the ex-Bafana Bafana tactician.
“What is happening at Chiefs right now is what I have been saying all along that it’s not a matter of a coach, it’s hunger. My boys are back, abuyile Amakhosi,” he opened up to KickOff.
“If you look at the form the likes of Mduduzi Shabalala have been showing us lately, you can tell there is hunger now. You judge a family by the behaviour of its kids. If your children are healthy, then you’ve got a team. We survive through our offspring.
“I believe the players did talk to each other, reprimand each other. Team talks between footballers are very powerful. You can’t continue receiving your salary every month end knowing exactly you are not delivering.

“It’s not a secret that Chiefs had no direction, but in three months’ time, everything has changed. Do we still need a coach? Definitely, we do. We need a coach for one reason, to keep the structure going. We need a person who will give guidance. We need a father in the house.
“We need somebody with a football background. We need Pitso Mosimane. They must go get Pitso.,” Vukubi concluded.
